 | No alcohol, drugs, or tobacco. Any team
member under the influence of alcohol or drugs without a
doctors prescription will be reported to high school
authorities and the local police. In addition, the
person will be removed from the team. |
 | If you miss more than one day a week, you probably will not race. The final decision is the
coach's. |
 | Spring practices are not optional.
Practices the week of any race are not optional. Plan other activities around crew during spring
season and the week of any race. |
 | If you know you cannot attend a practice, notify the team 1st and then the coach.
Remember, you are part of a team and a boat. When you
miss a practice the entire performance of the boat will be
affected. |
 | Disrespect of a coach, teammate or member of another team will not be tolerated and will be ground for removal and or suspension from the team. |
 | No running or horseplay in or around boathouse.
While at the boathouse all boathouse rules will be followed. |
 | No talking in the boathouse! |
 | Maximum of two minutes on the dock. |
 | Do not leave practice until all equipment is put away.
It is the responsibility of all team members to ensure oars
are properly stored, launches are cleaned out and in the bay
on their dollies, etc. |
 | Get appropriate amount of rest, you cannot be over trained, just under rested. |
 | 10:00PM curfew the night before races. |
 | Come to practice prepared to workout with appropriate gear. |

 | If you are unable to do this, you should consider not competing
for Hampton Crew. Crew requires sacrifices from all, not just a few. In addition, you should be aware of how much time is required to complete your studies. Plan appropriately, not coming to practice to study is irresponsible to your team. Manage your time for you and your team! |
 | These rules and guidelines are for your benefit. The coaches are here to guide the rowers but success ultimately lies with
you. |
